The Witnesses
Sarah, a childrens' book author, and Mehdi, a vice squad inspector, form a united but very free couple. Overwhelmed by her new role as a mother and by her new novel, Sarah returns to her family's country house to find inspiration. Adrien, her childhood friend, comes to join her in the company of Manu, a young man with whom he has a platonic relationship. During their stay, Manu is saved from drowning by Mehdi. The police officer finds himself attracted to the young man. This is the summer of 1984, and the AIDS epidemic is in the early stages, but will wind up affecting their lives in various ways.
