THE ENCAMPMENTS follows student organizers at some of the world's most prestigious Universities as they took a historic stand against their institutions' investments in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, igniting one of the largest student movements in history. The film follows key figures like Mahmoud Khalil, the Columbia graduate student organizer detained by DHS and held in ICE custody without charges; Grant Miner, the student union leader expelled and fired for his advocacy; Bisan Odeh, the Emmy and Peabody award-winning Gazan journalist; and a whistleblower from an Ivy League university administration.
