Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a chef from the fine dining world, returns to Chicago to run his family's sandwich shop, The Original Beef of Chicagoland, when his brother passes away and leaves it to him.
Carmy tries to retrain the employees of The Original Beef of Chicagoland, but is faced with resistance, especially from his late brother's best friend Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), so he brings on a talented young chef (Ayo Edebiri) to help. He renames the new dining establishment The Bear.
In Season 2, Carmy finds the shop needs major renovations and sends Marcus (Lionel Boyce), the pastry chef, to Copenhagen in search of new inspiration.
Season 3 follows Carmy, Richie and Sydney as they work to elevate the titular restaurant, which has been transformed from a gritty sandwich shop to a finer dining destination. The daily challenges of working in the restaurant business present an uphill battle for the kitchen staff, and Carmy only gets more intense as his staff tries to match him.
