No Good Deed (2002)

While helping his friend search for his runaway teenage daughter, a police detective (Samuel L. Jackson) stumbles upon a bizarre band of criminals about to pull off a bank robbery. He ends up being held hostage while the criminals decide what to do with him. Meanwhile, the criminals leave the leader's beautiful girlfriend (Milla Jovovich) behind to guard him.
