Espantaho

ESPANTAHO tells the story of Monet, her mother Rosa, husband Jack and son Keith, a dysfunctional family grieving the death of their family patriarch Pabling. The harvest from the rice land of Pabling helped them survive all these years, but when a drought ravaged the land, Monet had to put up a small business, buying and selling antiques. After the burial, Pabling's legal wife Adele arrives, along with her 2 children, Roy and Andie, claiming the land that her family owns. As they make arrangements during the nine days of 'pasiyam', a powerful haunting descends upon their home, unraveling dark secrets and a malevolent plot. Fearing for their lives, Monet and Rosa must come to terms with past traumas and confront a supernatural evil to save their family.
