Around 60 B.C., young Vercingétorix watches his father burned in public for trying to rise the Gauls against the Romans occupying their land. Raised by druids, Vercingétorix (Lambert) grows to become a respected leader. He gives his allegiance to Julius Caesar, who charges him with the gathering of men from Gallic tribes and leading them to invade Brittany. But Vercingétorix rebels against Caesar and his men then burn the villages and pastures to starve the occupying armies.
