Adolescence (Netflix)

When 13-year-old Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) is arrested for the murder of a classmate, it has a profound effect on his entire family.

They're all woken up at 6 a.m. to the sound of their door being broken open, followed by armed police officers going through the house to find Jamie, who's still in bed but terrified. He's taken to the police station, where he's asked to choose an "adult advocate." He chooses his father (Stephen Graham), who's confused by everything that's going on.

Jamie is assigned a lawyer, who advises the boy, but tells the family that the police must have very definitive evidence to have acted in such a manner. The police are lacking a motive and a murder weapon, and go to the school to interview students for information. It's not until D.I. Bascombe's (Ashley Walters) points out some posts on Instagram that the police realize they've been looking at this all wrong.
