The privately held Premiere Cinema Corp., headquartered in Big Spring, Texas, is owned by Gary Moore, who bought his first theater in 1985 and founded Premiere in 1993. It is one of the first theater chains to transition all its locations from 35 mm film to fully digital and is among the largest independent theater companies in America. As of 2012, Premiere Cinemas operated 256 screens in 22 theaters across Texas, Alabama, Florida and New Mexico.
