What began as Parallax Theatres in 1974, Landmark Theatres has expanded to 56 theaters with 268 screens across the United States. Not only exhibiting mainstream films, Landmark Theatres is America’s largest theater chain dedicated to showing and marketing independent and foreign films. Landmark also currently owns a handful of theater chains including Nickelodeon Theatres and Silver Cinemas, as well as many independent theaters. It was founded by Kim Jorgensen in 1974 and is headquartered in Los Angeles. Helmed by CEO Ted Mundorff, Landmark’s parent organization is 2929 Entertainment.
