Great concession prices
May 20, 2017
I've been coming to this theater my whole life, and remember the days when it was cash only and the ticket window was on the outside. I'm so glad it has stuck around. Everybody's friendly, the concession prices are super reasonable, and really popular movies come fast enough to suit me. It'll never be a 12-theater experience, but for a town like Jerseyville, it's perfect. My only complaint is that somehow the remodel of the lobby made it worse than it already was. The whole back area is basically dead space when instead they could have changed it so that everybody waiting for a ticket isn't stuck outside, and there'd still be room for people who have to wait to go into their theater. This huge box in the middle where the tickets and concessions are now is sincerely awful. Remodeling is supposed to *improve* things, so the designer should be fired. The rest of the place is great, and the design is really only annoying if the line's long, the weather's bad, or you have to wait an age to get into the theater. Still worth going for the familiar faces, cheap concessions and the short drive.
