Local theater with great programing
February 12, 2019
First a warning, this theater is in a very flood prone area (it has full on flooded during business hours) and is very short on parking. Perhaps park on higher ground and walk if you're going to watch a movie on a rainy day? That said, they are such a nicely run, local option in New Orleans. They're the only non-franchise multi-screen theater (4 screens). They show a combination of the arthouse films a la Zeitgeist (but in a better space) and the 1st-run blockbusters like AMC (but again, in a better space). I love the staff, ambience, food & drink menu, etc. The only experience complaint I can think of is that in some of the smaller theaters (#1) the projector is low enough that you can hear its fan during quiet scenes.
