Seat reservations encourage inconsiderate moviegoers

The theater is fine, however I dislike set reservation. I had movie passes and could only redeem them at the box office. We arrive an hour early to get our tickets. I was told there were only seats in the very front row. Since my granddaughter really wanted to see the movie, "The Hate You Give"I accepted the front row seats. As what happens every time I have gone to these seat reserved theaters, the theater is half-filled, over 3/4th empty when the movie begins. However, the front row was filled up. Heaven forbid you take a chance of sitting in one of the many empty seats and someone later in the show claims their seat. On another time, I purchased a singular ticket and my assigned seat would have been right in the middle of a large group of attendees. How weird is that? I did take my chances and sat somewhere else. Even then, the movie didn't start filling up until the movie had been playing for over 30 minutes.
