do not go here if you enjoy choosing your own seat

I hated this theater and the assigned seats they enforce with gestapo like rigidity, even if there are dozens of empty seats. The kids sitting next to our assigned seats were noisy and on their phones, but they would not allow me to change seats to an empty spot. I demanded, and received, a refund but only after meeting with the general manager. This place had horrible customer service and I urge all to avoid attending this theater.

My wife and I enjoy an occasional movie. Green Hills Regal is convenient and we’ve been going thete since 1999. The latest upgrades are not without flaws. My short wife finds the reclining seats extremely uncomfortable. I object to choosing isolated seats, then having people sit down almost in my lap when 100 other empty seats are available. Management explained that it’s possible to come back to customer service and request different seats. Online research shows cinemas use programming to eliminate “orphan” seats. I will be looking to go to theaters without assigned seating for my future movie viewing.
Seating issues
August 08, 2017
The Green Hills Cinema has been our movie theatre of choice in recent years however there are issues that I think need to be addressed. The new seating is probably good for most people, however for those of us that are short (5'3" or under) the seating simply doesn't work. Went to show today and was terribly uncomfortable after about 20 minutes. Additionally, the speaker at the ticket booth is too loud. Everybody behind me heard my method of payment, where I chose to be seated, my telephone number and e-mail address. Since I don't routinely carry perk cards, next time I will not use my Regal card (which called for my phone and e-mail addresses).
