Went to see Alien: Romulus the night of 8/15/24. Movie began, but the lights did not turn off. I went to the front desk, and told the lone employee there that the lights were still on. He thanked me, and told me he would be right on it. Ten minutes pass, and the lights are still on. I go back out, and that same employee is scooping popcorn into a trashbag while talking to another employee. I told them the lights were still on, and that the movie was difficult to watch with the lights still on. The original employee exits from behind the desk and power-walks away with his head down. This is where things get out-of-pocket. The second employee, clearly upset about something, says "what do you want us to do about it?! We're low level employees, and we have no control over what's going on 'up there. We have to call a district manager, and HOPE they'll do something about it." I told her I had no way of knowing that, since the previous employee had told me they could solve it without issue. She responded by saying "I don't care; I'm paid minimum wage. Come back tomorrow for a refund if you want. I'll still be here for when you complain again." I apologized for the trouble, told her that I had paid in cash, and walked back into the movie. After five more minutes, the lights turned off. They came back on forty-five minutes later, thirty minutes after concessions closed and the employees where gone. Greenville Cinemas: Pay your employees enough to care about service. Employees: Quit, if you're dissatisfied with your job. Don't take your frustration out on customers; we didn't choose your wage.
Need to work on the popcorn
October 04, 2022
I enjoyed the movie, the woman King, the theater was clean and people were respectful. I did have a problem with the popcorn. It had a slight bad flavor to it like maybe the butter machine hadn’t been completely cleaned. A couple weeks earlier I had a different problem with the popcorn. The popcorn was clearly day-old. I love popcorn and I can tell the difference. These are things they can work on and correct immediately if they choose. It’s sad because I go for the popcorn to go with the movie. This was at the Greenville location.

The theater should stop showing TV commercials. Too many commercials, and they are the same thing we see at home on TV. Wanted to watch previews for new movies. The movie theater we sat
