Picture and sound system is acceptable seating normal, come to Kentucky theater for the old time theater experience. The food and drinks prices are much better then most theaters and the sell alcohol.

Best place to watch a movie.

July 20, 2022

This theater has a huge seating capacity. It is the only place to feel safe during Covid. We recently saw Elvis there. There were about 100 people at the show. We were able to sit 40 feet from anyone else. Good ventilation. I have always chosen the Ky over all other movie houses in town. Many thanks to our city leaders for saving this historical gem!!!

We thoroughly enjoy coming to the Kentucky theater and usually is our only venue! We always leave wondering why we don’t come back more often!

A Treasure

June 20, 2018

The Kentucky Theater is always our first choice for seeing movies, whether first run or indy. Fred Mill, the manager, has worked there for more than 50 years, and he's a treasure! The low ticket prices mean you don't go home broke. The seats are not ultra plush and reclining, but they are comfortable. The overall theater experience is great, and it's always a special treat when the organist plays before the feature. We always look forward to the Summer Classics series on Wednesday nights from June to August when you can see old classic movies on the big screen.
