Childhood memories and 2020s New Memories

April 09, 2022

After 50 years of going to the Civic, I think it is one of the real pleasures of life! I don't always get to the Civic every month or even every year. But for certain movies with lush photography - like Branagh's Murder on the Nile - what a joy! Large popcorn, comfortable seats, drink holders, beautiful walls and curtains. A visual and sensory delight. Add easy parking and gorgeous & fun in downtown Farmington, with great food every fourth shop. Note: The XMAS movies in December are wonderful.

Great place all around

I love going to this place. The upstairs theater is great and there are seats where you're probably only 20 feet from the screen! Very cool all around.

Excellent popcorn at a fair price.

Fantastic popcorn, friendly staff, good prices, comfy seating, digital projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, and can walk around downtown Farmington before/after a movie or go get dinner.

A nice small town theater

February 24, 2017

Stepping into this theater is like stepping back in time. It's a throwback to an era where every small city had a downtown that was anchored by the local movie house. The candy counter may not have nachos, hot dogs and the other overpriced items you can get at the chain multiplex. The chairs don't recline. But what you do get is a place that you can take your family without breaking the bank AND is a really unique experience.
