A Boomer's review

Well I didn't want to buy the movie, but sure paid that price. The 12oz water cost what a case of water at the store would be, and lord knows I'd have to take a second mortgage to be able to afford any popcorn. ;-) The place was super clean. The employee's were extra nice and put up with my ribbing them on the cost. I knew what I was getting into in going to a theater. I did have to put in my hearing aides the echo effect was a bit much up in row 'G' - who the f*ck knew you had assigned seats - crazy right. The movie was well worth it, as I knew it would be since the "message crew" at Disney didn't get their hands on this movie. Would I go to this theater again, yes. God bless

I have lived in Conway for two years, and every time I go by this theater, no cars in parking lot and a FOR SALE sign on entrance to property. It would be nice if it were open, as I moved away from Myrtle Beach to avoid the crowds and tourists.
Hidden gem from the beach

I love Franks Rivertown Theaters in Conway....it has been my preferred theater for years. I have been going since it opened and in recent years have gained a great appreciation for the ability to see blockbuster films on the preview nights without the overly large crowds of people clapping and outwardly cheering during the film. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and while there are problems from time to time, and the occasional minor cosmetic issue with the theaters, seldom does it detract from the enjoyment of the films. One thing I know my wife would love to changed is an addition of concession choices such as soft pretzels. Overall it is my preferred location for films-those on the other side of the Waccamaw River don't know what they are missing.
Great people, okay everything else...

I went to the conway theater thinking I'd support them over the cinamark. I've been twice. I go there to see beauty and the beast first. I was greeted by a jolly manager who reveled me with delightfully bad jokes, and told me about the movies while I waited. After a wait I went to a register where an African American gentleman with a tie and glasses helpedal me out. He was very nice, and patient as we decided on our snacks. He told us about all the deals they had going on, and gave us a card for when we came back. Even when we spilled our drink, he gladly filled it again, and cleaned it up. My first problemishes though came when I got into the theater itself. The seats looked really beat up. It got worse as the movie started. The heat seemed to be running full blast! I went out to complain, and the same gentleman from before stopped what he was doing, and addressed it. Not 5 minutes later, I heard the ac kick on and it began to cool. But another problem arose as the movie lights didn't darken. It was still bright. I came out again, and again the same gentleman helped me. He informed me that he could not dim the lights more, and after I told him it was hurting my experience, he allowed me and my family to see the second showing that hadn't started instead. We switched to a nicer theater, but then during the movie, we noticed that the screen had really noticeable scratches and sewing marks on it during the movie! It looked terrible. We could see the movie, but the quality was really bad. After the movie, as we were leaving, there was our tied black guy, bidding us farewell with a broom and dustpan. He apologized about the problems. I was happy with that. We came back for Boss Baby. The line wasn't bad, but this time around we had a new person selling us our tickets and such. He was not nice at all, and was distant. He was dressed nice, but the attitude was so offputting.
Disappointed customer

I'm really disappointed with your service today. I was in line for 15 minutes and not once did the manager or the cashier mention that they were having problems with their register. They could have mentioned they were only accepting cash. For 15 minutes they didn't say anything. I get to the register and let them know what I want and I hand him my credit card. That's when the cashier says our credit card machine is not working. If they would have said something, I could have left and got cash. That was ridiculous! I've been going to the Conway theater since it's been opened, and I never been so upset with Franks until now. I'm still deciding if I will continue to go there. 15 minutes they didn't say anything! It's just common courtesy to mention that you having problems with your registers.
