Ridiculously loud volume

Cinema 4, Dec3rd, noontime, hunger games movie. People ii. The cinema are putting their fingers to their ears to protect ear drums. After I complained they dropped volume by a notch but ear drums are still hurting.
A Dump

Kabuki 8 used to be among the best theatres in SF. Now, it's dirty and disorganized beyond belief. Plus, you're guaranteed to be assaulted with 25 minutes of ads and previews before the actual program starts.
My favorite movie theater

People who left negative reviews: have you been to other SF movie theaters? This one is the cleanest and most comfortable, in a decent neighborhood. I like the Embarcadero Landmark as well, but that's for more indie movie selection. This one has the standard AMC selection plus occasional Japanese movie showtimes.
Avoid this theater.

AMC has turned this theater into a dump. Used to be the best SF theater. Now it’s really substandard.
I miss the Kabuki

What a filthy mess
January 25, 2019
The ticket sellers were disinterested and unhelpful. The concession counter was covered in spilled food and the staff did not seem at all interested in cleaning it up. . The carpets were filth and a combination of popcorn and soemthing else (vomit?) was on the escalator OMG. I am used to Sundance being more expensive but clean with good service. Where is the pride, the training??I am never going back.
Kabuki - THE WORST
July 10, 2017
Since AMC took over Kabuki, it has very sadly turned into one of San Francisco WORST theaters. The first floor theaters, #7 and #8 reeked of an open sewer line, making it nearly impossible to watch the movie. The movie was due to start at 7:45 - we were forced to watch more than 25 (!) minutes of dreadful ads and movie trailers before the paid-for movie started. Oh, did I mention the fee for all of this delightfulness was $17.50!...I should have clued in when the lobby of the theater was completely empty at 7:30 on a Saturday night.
