Worst theater experience
February 05, 2024
First way too expensive. Popcorn was horrible. Stale and popcorn salt awful. Seats small and uncomfortable. For the cost it was terrible. Film was unclear. So bad I couldn’t get into movie. Better to say home.
Disgusted

I've only been to this theater two times. My first experience the opening night of the new Star Wars Episode 9, an entire filled auditorium was given the wrong 3D glasses. Customer service was so bad in response I told myself I'd never come back it wasn't worth the money absolutely destroyed the experience. To add to that every single employee looked like they hated their job and were very unhelpfulI in any circumstance. I decided to give it a second chance later. I felt overcharged for poor service, hard crunchy popcorn and refusal for a new fresh bag. The movie I had seen was too large for the screen. I went and told an employee TWO times throughout the movie and nothing was done about it. The subtitles were overlapping with the bottom of the screen it was just horrible/disgraceful. I will never give my business to this establishment again.
Only cleanish theater in Springfield!

Only theater in town that isn't dirty & dingy. Don't know about Showplace 8 on east side but it would have to have had a true remodel because if not then it probably looks as bad as Pwky Pointe 8, that one's a craphole IMHO.
LOUDEST theater I have ever been to.

It isn't just me, I have spoken to other people about this, and this is the loudest theater in town. During the trailers, I literally had to scream at my friend sitting next to me for them to hear me say I was going to the restroom and I mentioned it to the teenage staff who just blew me off. It gave me a headache and for several hours afterwards I could barely hear and I was only there for a 90 minute film. I will never be back, decibel levels that high are incredibly dangerous and there are 2 other theaters in town and a drive in, so why would I go back to this place?
