Beware
November 06, 2019
Nov 6th 2019 for 640 PM movie at AMC Bayou. Poor, bad, management is running our once great movie theater into the ground. The parking lot is neglected, lights out, over hanging trees in several parking spaces that damage our cars, mildew on building and sidewalks, filthy smelly theater seats and carpets are obscene and bathrooms were worse than ever and a smell tonight on the right side of the theater that was like raw sewage. Who’s job are these things? The Manager? None of the theater signs had the movie name or its time on each of the theater entrances. Then for good measure in addition to being an “A List AMC Member” I attempted to order 2 beers where the bar sign brags about 1 I'd, gets 2 drinks…. the rude bartender said she needed 2 I'ds. I said 1 ID 2 drinks and pointed to the sign. She said sorry. We asked for the manager and got "Emily" She said she was the general manager and no one over her. I asked for her card when I notified her of the poor service at the bar and she copped rude attitude. Bad service starts at the top and trickles down and that certainly is apparent here. She brought me a corporate card. I said, I asked for your card so she left and wrote Emily on the corporate card. Either she is lying about being GM and should be fired or she should be fired for running the theater into the ground. OR even better, she should get up out of that manager chair and start cleaning bathrooms and carpets. No excuses. This is Pensacola FL and we expect better from AMC. Change is tough but needed. Why should we continue to patronize and spend TOP dollar at a neglected dump.

I and all of the other audience members had to wait forty five minutes for our movie to begin. We were never offered an explanation as to why, an apology, or even a thank you for waiting. This used to be my go to movie theatre, but unfortunately it is on the path of ruins due to its lack of efficient management and customer service. The ticket assistant ignored me at the booth as he had a conversation with his coworker and then proceeded to slam my change down. I am thankful for an opportunity to practice patience and for the polite cashier that was helpful with providing popcorn, but I can't see myself risking another experience here.
Great movie theater.
